This is just a simple green midge I've had success with in the past. Makes a great dropper behind a dry or larger nymph.
Recipie:
Hook: TMC 100 or any wide gape dry fly hook. This is a sz 20.
Thread: Grey 8/0 used here
Body: Bronze-green ultra wire
Collar: Peacock herl
Bead: This one is clear glass
Instructions: Same as a brassie - slide on the bead. Wind thread to bend and back. Tie off. Very light brushing of head cement onto the thread wraps. Wrap shank tightly with wire 2/3rds way to eye. Tie on and secure last wrap of wire with thread. Wrap peacock collar to bead and tie off.
