My trip to LR was a big dissapointment.
It was my worse trip there ever.
A week before I got here hurricane Omar passed 200 miles to the North. The result was that normal numbers of bait fish were not there.
There were only one or two tarpon around and fishing my normal favorite spots with floating gummy minnows proved quite difficult.

I did catch some fish though. On my best day I caught 8 bones, this is the normal number for a bad day.
I also caught some bonitos, jacks and yellowtail.

This year the weather is causing me problems wherever I seem to go.

Sorry to hear LR dissapointed
Me too, bad weather seems to have followed me everywhere this year
maybe we should fish together two minuses equal a plus so maybe we would get good weather between us ? :)
I'm off for a cheapy trip to Cuba in about 5 weeks hopefully with a little better weather than my last trip there a few years back.

Cayo Guillermo, the next Cay along from Coco, with an all incusive and then just DIY it's about as cheap a trip as you can get. And I love Cuba
I have to save some pennies for next years trip which I think may be Baja and Rooster fish, not sure yet,
There are some places in Cuba that also have some very large Tarpon !
