The hot weather has created a major inversion layer moving from 'north to south.' If we're getting this much smoke from something that far away, Lord only knows what's it like closer to Roseburg or Eugene.

respirator? skies were pretty clear, even from atop Illahee, but more like bring a refrigerator. The water was 69 degrees this past weekend. The air was a bit warmer
The one bit of good news vis a vis having a large dam on a river (the Rogue) is they can really change the water temps by pulling the water from the top, middle or bottom of the lake.
Shifted to bottom water some time last week and dropped the river temps about 5-8 degrees even with lower flows.
