somewhere in the area.

So much smoke in the air visability is down to less than a third of a mile ... and add 98 degrees to the equation.

Crap, and double crap.

Rob, you're on the mark on which rod gets

grabbed first if we had to make a 'dash!' Fires are actually a couple of hundred miles to the north of us, per this morning news. The hot weather has created a major inversion layer moving from 'north to south.' If we're getting this much smoke from something that far away, Lord only knows what's it like closer to Roseburg or Eugene.

Fish the North Umpqua and bring a resperator??

69! Yuck!

The one bit of good news vis a vis having a large dam on a river (the Rogue) is they can really change the water temps by pulling the water from the top, middle or bottom of the lake.

Shifted to bottom water some time last week and dropped the river temps about 5-8 degrees even with lower flows.
