Saw the pics,low 30's at best.Still a gorgeous fish but not what there claiming.If it were a 44lbs fish there would be a whole bunch of pics in all the magazines and everyone up here in BC would have heard about it along time ago.News about a 40+ steelhead would spread like wild fire here.It kind of reminds me of that photo of Capt Armand on the cover of SalmonTroutSteelheader magazine.Claiming to catch a 30lbs fish from the Gold.That fish was barely over 20(I love the way people hold fish away from there body to make it look bigger).Why can't they just call it what it is and not try to BS people?I know lots of guys who fish the Gold and some that saw that fish,most are pretty insulted by the claims made in that magazine.A 20lbs fish is huge these days for the Gold,a 30 is unheard of.

Seriously, it was a nice story. People who travel the globe to experience such fish really appreciate them... almost as much as those who live in steelhead country!
