This is one of the two patterns I submitted for the carp fly swap. It is the first fly that I caught a carp on, and it remains one of my best carp flies. It's based on the recipe Mark (Dble Haul) posted in the trout fly archives here
Hook: #8 Daiichi 1750 (4x-long streamer hook)
Thread: Brown
Tail: Brown Marabou
Rib: 24 Gauge Copper Wire
Body: Brown Yarn (wool, I think?)
Hackle: Brown
