Harry Lemire passed last night at home in his sleep after a long struggle and a what can only be described as a "Great Life". He was a long time freind and a great person outside of his legendary angling personna. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Drinking with Harry a few times, the stories of rods, reels, lines and steelhead were as good as they get. I will always remember Harry as a special person in our world of steelheading. Harry may you fish in peace.
My favorite Harry story was his about his Youth wandering urban streets back east with a "sling shot and a salt shaker and a few matches" with his gang of hungry young kids always on the lookout for pigeons and squirrels. (Harry always was "Hungry" I actually saw him eat 4 Costco cart dogs in one sitting,)
