I just purchased a Sage XP 5wt rod. I can't wait to use it. It will be primarily used in trout streams/rivers. What reels would you suggest for this rod? It needs to be relatively inexpensive, somewhere under $150. I am looking at a few reels on Sierra trading post - the Lamson Radius Hybrid Reel - R2 or the Albright Popo Agie ELA Fly Reel. Does anyone have an opinion on either reel? I am also considering an Orvis mid arbor. All of these reels are mid arbor. Is a largre arbor reel necessary for freshwater? What fly line would you suggest. I am thinking of using Rio's Rio Grande.

I typically use a regular arbor reel for fresh water rods. Orvis Battenkill, Scientific Anglers System 5-6L is a good 5 wt reel. Ross makes some good inexpensive reels as does Okuma.
My all time favorite cheepy is a Pflueger Medalist, the older made in the USA vintage reels are very serviceable for trout fishing

I do have a Orvis Battenkill mid arbor II it is a nice reel as well
