Short version: I landed a FAT fish, length unknown, over 30”, it stretched open the gap in my hook, had to leave at sunrise, Jim’s still out there somewhere.
Great fishing with you Roop. That fish was such a porker it was running out of skin. I hit the light from 8:00-9:30. There were some birds grabbing sand eels out in the middle of the bowl and small sand eels in the current close to shore, but I couldn't seem to find the fish. While I was at the light there was a major blitz on the backside of Nausset point that lasted about 45 minutes. I tried another spot after that but it just wasn't in the cards today. Nice day to be out there though.
Well Roop I guess you didn't get to put your saltwater gear away for the season. Just one more cast. Great report. FishHawk
