I did a web search for synthetic fiber manufacturers and distributors and found this (Note: When I clicked the site it tried to download some Korean language translator but I clicked "cancel" and could still view the page)
Yeah Juro, I saw "sand eel" all over that stuff! Amazing blend of colors too.
Could you figure out which type would be the best for tying? The product descriptions didn't help me too much because I haven't tied many flies using synthetic materials.
I sent a brief email to the "wig21" email address asking how to obtain a small sample of each type of material and one of those color rings. (I didn't say why I wanted the stuff. Just that I was looking for a source and wanted to see their samples.) Hope they say "How many do you want?"!
Yeah, the foam blocks were kind of a stretch. But they were only a buck and I figured I could do *something* with them. The foam sheets may actually be useful though if I can find them. The Fibre Craft site says that "Michaels" stores carry their products but I don't recall seeing any foam sheets.
Hey! hey!... just one minute... I don't think the human hair is creepy... just what I have been looking for... need to contact Penguin....I am saved.. thanks for the info.
Hey, Striblue - you and Flightless are gonna look awfully funny with Sloggett and Bozo do's on your heads with that stuff - mebbe ya should keep it to deep sand eels of many colors:smokin:
Oh that's great, that's just freakin' great - now I gotta get ascots in all those colors!?
pass me the hammer & piggybank...
