Marc LeBlanc, the originator of this fly, is a highly respected guide on the Cascapedia, Petite Cascapedia, and Bonaventure Rivers. He is also very well known for his award-winning flies, many of which are now Gaspe standards. As the story goes, Mark created this fly during his clients lunch break. The water was high and dirty and the clients had gone fishless in the morning. When they used this fly in the afternoon they were fishless no more. Since then this fly has held a reputation as a good high water fly.
