It's time to think about the annual Nor'Easter Spey Clave again, now that spring has sprung (sort of) and before the striper and spring salmon season gets underway.
I am thinking April 22nd in Concord NH on the Merrimac River (accomodating spot for large groups) or Bristol NH on the Pemigewassett (excellent fishing opportunity as well).
Rods and matched lines will be provided by sponsors. Presentations in traditional Spey casting and overhead two-handed casting will be given. You will be able to sign up for private tutelage, donations accepted to benefit the Forum. Group dinner at the Common Man in Concord afterwards.
If you are interested in sponsoring, presenting or attending please reply here. Suggestions for alternate dates and locations are welcomed and will be considered.
:hihi:
Since I have only met some of you at the Wilmington Show, I'd jump at the chance to attend, depending on the date, and your promise not to laugh at my speycasting abilities (or lack thereof).:Eyecrazy:
Right in my back yard. either place is 30 mins from me. I was going to post a question on what all the hubbub about Spey casting is since I have never seen it done ( I live a sheltered life).
But maybe I'll just drive over & see whats up. Let us know when and where, I will try to go.
Fish & game are stocking brood stock Salmon this week in both rivers. According to their email news letter.
I will know by Tuesday whether this date will work. Also at that point I will send some feelers out to area flyshops and the like to get a good crowd going like the last one we did at Sewells Falls.
Juro I am up for attending a Spey Clave. Anyday except June 3 & June 17. I am attending a wedding on June 3rd & getting married myself on the 17 th so those days are out. Any other days or weekends would be OK with me (I think)
