I built a 3 wt on one of the Lamiglass blanks Fred is talking about last year. I think they sell the rods as their bush creek series. Its nice for in close work & brushy streams. When relaxed it seems to cast itself with just a flick of the wrist. My problem is when I see a rising fish and fire a cast to to it only to have the fly fall far short because I rushed it and didn't let the rod do the work. :tsk_tsk:
Fiberglass seems to be making a bit of a comeback these days.Aside from the companies already mentioned,Diamondback/Cortland has also just introduced a new rod that is said to be VERY nice.
