Sorry to sound like a goof, but I thought I would share with my cyber fishin buddies that I got my new pole last night.
It's a St. Croix Ultra Legend 9' 9 wt. Sorry Sage, I had a friend set me up with a deal that was not refusable. It's green, it's purdy, I'm ready. I stood by my workbench last night and mounted my brandy new SA II 8/9 on it and just went wow! I am psyched to be stepping up to St. Croix' finest rod. Should be an interesting season for yet another reason.

Nice setup.. can you fit it in your scanner?
St.Croix has been putting top quality gear in many people's hands for less money for a number of years now. I used to own a St.Croix Spey rod, a little fast for a Spey rod but still very workable with either DoubleTaper or heads. It was the most affordable Spey rod I've seen.

The new Heritage rods which our friend the venerable Phil Castleman of Castle Arms are another awesome price great product package. He and Ray were generous enough to give me a photo which I will scan this weekend and post. You'll love it.

All these rods, and none with a bend in 'em... except for Brian out on the Hoh. C'mon spring!
