After recieving my swap flies today I thought it might be fun to keep the swap event going a bit by having a contest for the first keeper sized striper caught on a swap fly. The prize could be one more fly from all the participants or we could be mean and make the person who catches the fish tie all the others a fly.

I think that is a great idea. I'm game for either plan or both, but we aught to set a size that qualifies because of all the different regs around for keepers.

What do you say to 30" - last year's Mass. limit and a time slot of May 15 to June 15 to allow for migratory differences? (ie an angler in NY or NJ wont have an "unfair" advantage - or does the population seriously drop down there during this time? Just trying to keep the odds as even as possible.)
I'm also kind of a nice guy so lets say the "losers" tie the winner a fly each?
I am willing to 'pay homage' to the first legal striper of 2001, count me in... how about released too. I hate contests that involve dead fish. Do we need a photo?
