The Originator of this fly, Michel Beaudin is one of the York rivers most respected guides. He is an ex-firefighter from Montreal. He first tied the fly in 1980 by combining some of the best colors for the rivers of the Gaspe. The fly was named “Pompier”, fireman in French, by another fly tier from Montreal, Paul LeBlanc. It has since become a popular pattern on all the Gaspe rivers and a top producer.
