This one is the DEAN BEAD HEAD---
Hook- 1/0 mustad; Thread- white; Body- Yellow Chenille; Wings-Four white neck
hackles, 2 1/2 inches long, each pair flared outward; Collar- Dark grizzly or
grizzly and black mixed ( I used dark brown grizzly); Head- Lightweight wooden
bead painted yellow,( I used a plastic bead); Eye- Black with red center,( I
covered the final paint with hard as Hull). ...History- This fly was originated
by Gordon Dean and was done in the 1950's. In Ken Bays Book, this is one of the
9 classic flies as determined by Bay and used for Small tarpon, bonefish and
lady fish.

Good timing John! We leave for Sanibel mid January for a few weeks....last year fished Tarpon Bay out of a rented yak....tons of ladyfish and Sea trout....am going to tie your offering and give it a try. Also going to tie some mullet....they jump all over the place....something has to eat them, I hope :)
