Been a little lax on what's happening here in Puget Sound. Mostly because the weather has been so foul. There should be some cutts and small resident silvers on the south sound beaches. We'll see what the weekend brings.

On the other hand, I've been plying my rivers searching for winter chrome. I can't say it's been good but if you count my first fish in two seasons caught two weeks ago that we estimated at a shade less than 20 pounds, it's been great.

I'm teaching a searun cutthroat class tomorrow on the beach, so I should have a little fresh info.

Well the teachin' an' learnin' was good but the catchin' wasn't. Did go back out a couple days later to see if what I didn't see was true. It was. It's been a slow beginning to our winter Puget Sound resident salmon season.

Back to the river tomorrow,
Leland.
