FYI

See Great lakes environmental announcement and Scottish Salmon farm fish escape, and most endangered rivers list.

I fished Lake Michigan on Friday in the surf and the water is very clear due to the foreign Zebra mussels which have been introduced over the last decade through the international freighters ballast tanks and water which has placed them in the lakes. I have not eaten fish from the great lakes since the early 80s but many people do I can tell you.

I did eat them from 1980 to 1984 when I first moved here thats when my three sons were born, recent study says that eating the fish leads to more sons born. Who knows, although boys run on my family side

How could the Allagash waterway be endangered in that wilderness area ? Must be the loggers and paper companies, state politicians and federal government neglect!!

Nate,

Lots of logging in Maine and Canada where the Allagash waterway, looks like the issue is that to many public access points have been made into it for the environmentalists (like me) so more people can access into the waterway and the solitary feeling is lost.

Great country up there Maine, hope they retain it for future generations

See below
