I have been looking around trying to find good sources of data on the WEB for gamefish and bait studies. Pictures, detailed habitat envoronments, food sources, life cycle habitats and size data Etc...

I have found a few good sites to share with you all and hope you may have some good ones to add to the list.

Some great data on all species listed!
My favorite for fisheries fish data so far...

Some common species listed on this site have illustrations of fish from the Indian River species inventory (What an ecosystem!).

Greg, I know you're getting into tying. The most influence I ever got was from Kenny Abrams. He was at a CCA meeting and gave a slide presentation on baitfish, and how they look so different in the water as opposed to out. And also, how within the same school they can be so different. This show really opened my eyes to the differences in light conditions and the what the surrounding enviroment means to the color range of the baitfish and the imitation you are going to try to reproduce.
If you get a chance, go to one of Kennys shows. You could also check out his book, "The Perfect Fish", I have a copy if you would like to borrow it.:whoa:

Hi CASE,

I had the good fortune of seeing Kenny's baitfish slide presentation the other night. I agree it was quite an eye opener and quite an influence on me. Looks like I need to get more different colored materials already. Thanks for the offer on the book, I picked up his Striper Moon book for Brandon. Might have to take you up on that offer to borrow the book sometime. No shortage of things to do right now with the holidays, perhaps at the CCA meeting if I can make it.

Thanks,
Greg.
