I make molds of Rub-R-Mold latex and then cast the bodies using a variety of materials -- latex, fabric paint, epoxy -- lots of materials work. I like to have a variety of sink-rates. The bodies are painted and then attached to the hook. Sometimes I use rattles, sometimes I use lead eyes, sometime both.
Oooooooohhh- I want to be able to do that!!!!! (the crab- not posting images- but I want to be able to do THAT too)
That looks really tasty. Steve, what kind of motion (if any) can you get out of those? Material dependent, I assume?
And Ssully- how 'bout erector sets?
