Hit the mouth of the Merrimack with Jim C. this morning.
Lots of blues around....some nice ones, too!
Gave away a few nice flies, but it was well worth it.
Didn't lose any fingers, either.
Thanks for the boat trip, Jim.

Thanks for the update Doug, any pogies? I heard of a push of sharks in close to shore in ME due to an abundance of bait, but the newscasters didn't specify what type of bait
Juro,
The locals say there are some juvie herring dropping out, but I haven't seen any.
As for pogies, rumor has it that the Parker had a lot a few weeks back.
May try again tomorrow.
Doug
My brother and his kids were at Wingaersheek last weekend and said they say numerous schools of stripers coming in with the tide. They were walking around the Annisquam side. Might be time for a yak sortie up there
FWIW, the shark sightings at Wells Beach in Maine last week were following herring and mackeral. The mackeral brought them in close, and the herring kept them around and drew them in even closer.
I was happy to see the beachcombers accepting this for what it was....animals in their own environment. There weren't too many dissenting voices during the closures. We've come a long way from years past when it was acceptable to reason that sharks were evil and must be killed.
