Thanks to Adrian's post, from months ago, where he showed off his newly stored kayak, I saved myself about $50.
I went to Home Depot instead of purchasing the absurdly expensive nylon loop system for hanging up kayaks. I bought four hooks that are made for hanging ladders, grand total, $16. They even came with a foam sleeve on each hook so the yaks are totally protected.
Eight screws later both mine and my father's kayak were hung on my garage wall. Also, with the angle on the hooks you don't even need straps to secure the kayaks. It worked out very well.
That picture has three generations worth of toys in it..........Grandpa's yak, my yak, and Sean's stable of plastic toys.
