Hi All,
I am off to try my luck on some west of Ireland lakes looking for char. I intend to try everything during the day and mainly small dries at night. My local tackle shop does not sell much in the line of flys smaller than 14/16 and I was hoping to go as low as 22 or so...
Any advice on what hackles to use, I don't know if I want to spend a fortune on a whole cape. But if I had to I was thinking about cree or grizzle as an option for versitility...
any thoughts?
Also I am considering 'dyeing' some hackles with waterproof markers (like a lot of patterns do with other materials). Has anyone tried that?
Cheers,
Myles
