herring are in the Potomac, at least they were before the 5 inches of rain. About 5 more degrees in the Potomac and the bass and herring will arrive. If any fellow cape codders are in the DC area in late March through early May let me know and we can do some striper/shad fishing.

oh, and I was just reading this morning that the Lake fishers are pissed because they are having to pull their bob houses off the Lake due to melting & thin ice.
Wow...42! Looks like an early spring and maybe an early start to the season.
50 degrees should bring in some 'scouts"....at this point, stripers even with one stripe will do

While on patrol tonight, I checked Red River beach one last time at 2345hrs and found two guys fishing off the last jetty at the east end of the lot.
"We're all anxious, but a little early boys" :chuckle:
