As you know I'm lurking for some basic patterns for when I come out in July - and an appropriate squid pattern is on my list. This cool looking fly looks suspiciously like the plastic "hoochies" that trollers use for salmon out here. Now, what would happen if I were to show up on the Cape with some "squid flies" that were basically decorated hoochies?
I'm pretty sure the fish wouldn't care, but what kind of flack would I get? Would Roop be following around me chanting "that's not a fly, thats not a fly... ?:tsk_tsk:
Kush.. bring them... I will be in Boston tomorrow and will send the flys... I will also include some others besides the deep eel. Some long clousers, etc.
