What is the best way to remove a reel seat assuming it has been epoxied on?Will it damage the blank?I want to replace a reel seat and cork for a different style. Is it difficult?

If you are talking about some type of metal reel seat a low heat applied slowly and evenly. I use a candle but while it smokes up the parts they clean off easily. An alcohol burner is probably the best heat source if you have access to one. No, its not difficult just take your time. There is a rod building section on this site that you might check out.
