Fly guys out in boats/canoes were doing pretty well on shad up at RV this morning. Nothing for me from shore.
On the striper front, the Boston Harbor data buoy water temp reading is at 49.6 this morning which puts them a little ahead of the same time last year. Stripers could be showing up on the PI beachfront within a week.

Here is an AWESOME northeast water temps site BobP Jr turned me on to - http://marine.rutgers.edu/mrs/mabight/mab4.html

The temps over the range of days can be construed to correspond with the delays, but if all goes well things should be back in the swing just as my usual land based mnemonic of "most cherry trees in bloom" hits the region. This one was given to me by Smitty of Rod Builder's Workshop over 20 years ago, and for the most part it's right on!
