My new flats boat

ran off course and has somehow changed into a new car, 2 granite & cobblestone walkways & a garden tractor.

The pain from the internal battle I have fought and lost cannot be expressed...

Growing up isn't that great after all.

Viva la yak!

Boy, I'm glad my wife and daugther don't read this stuff. Not that a flats boat was in the plan but they have this idea that I'm talanted with stuff like walks and walls and that I would be better served if I applied myself to such pursuits - rather than fishing.

Don't worry about that. You can't get a good workout driving a flats boat around. And the hole shot from a yak is much less than a Hewes!

Whenever I get out in a flats boat and start seeing fish I want to get out and wade.

Yaks are better for the heart and soul and more environmentally friendly

Now, I still can't make my mind up wether it should be Action Craft, Pathfinder, Maverick ..........
When sight fishing, look over your shoulder from time to time, you never know who's behind you

Thanks guys.

I was just looking forward to using it as a ferry service for our circle of friends to get access & stay in areas longer than taking the commercial ferry service.

Adrian - forget Action Craft!

It's gotta be one of the big three: Maverick, Hewes or Pathfinder.

Instead of the 1700T this year, the Redfisher for next year is looking pretty sweet!! I look forward to a picture of you holding a striper as big as your tarpon from the deck of the boat!

...This is just the kind of personal trajedy that Electro Convulsive Therapy (Shock Therapy) works best on...A few well placed sessions and the horrible trauma of FBD (Flats Boat Denial) will fade like the morning mist at the BathTub and BigGirl...

no worries...think how many things will have been
fine-tuned/improved when you ARE ready to take the plunge!

(you're still welcome to come out for a spin sometime....)

Fishing from a kayak

I have been fishing from a poke boat in Cape Cod bay for years, there is nothing like a nice size striper or blue pulling you around.
