Gotcha. I bet you could tie a pretty sweet squid applying the same technique to a long shank hook with some saddle/ostrich tentales...

I may have. Have a bunch of various brands. Farrar (my favorite), polybear, kinky fiber and EP. Different applications for each.
The white was def. Farrar. The back might be polybear.... I'll check my colors.
btw: your herring tie from the swap looks killer!
