Zap-Adaba-Goo

I noticed a post regarding this product on another board and was wondering whether anyone here has used it to seal the loop-wraps on cut lines. It supposedly is as strong as Zap-A-Gap, but dries flexible like rubber cement, does not discolor, is waterproof, and "withstands harsh marine conditions".

Hi Charles -

I've heard the same thing but currently use aquaseal for this purpose, thinned with cotol. If the zapagoo is less hazardous I'll give it a try.

Smolt,

It should work, I've used a diffrent brand of flexible super glue (Insta-Flex) on loops and it has worked fine.

ITs Zap-A-Dapa Goo

Its Zap a dappa goo and you can get it at any of the hobby shops that cater to the radio control crowd. Frequently used to glue on canopies.

KNOT SENSE

This is a UV cure glue that stays flexible and cures in about 15 seconds exposed to daylight. Also is a great quick "on the river" repair for waders.
