Surfs up!

I`m of to the Cyclades this summer, I do not know if the fishing is any good. But as long as there is saltwater there should be hope?!

Anybody that know anything about fishing around the Greek islands?

Maybe the surf candy will do the trick?!

Materials:
Hook: Owner Light Mutu circle "1/0
Thread: Mono
Body(hook): Blue mirage flash
Wing: Ultra hair light blue and some sort of dark green
Flash: pearl blue krystal flash and as sideline, blue mirage flash
Eyes: Stick on eyes
I apply epoxy in two turns, one to set the wing, and one to get a nice body....

Regards
Anders

Those are some sweet looking flies. Nice work, and a great color scheme too.

Hi Anders - I've yet to hear of anyone having much success in Greece with a fly rod, though there will always be a chance of a bass, leerfish, small tuna from the shore.

If you can get in a boat and fish around steep cliffs into deeper water you may be in luck. As ever keep an eye out for birds working. Very early in the morning and last thing in the evening will be the best opportunities.

One fish you will see alot of is mullett, off the beaches or in harbours. For a bit of fun I'd groundbait with bread and then fish a bread fly on about a size 10 or 12 hook.

Good luck!
