Starting on next season

Well- I think I'll call this one started in on some pike patterns for next year

Keys style perch tie-

Nice fly and photo. What are the ingredients? Have you tried Keys style flies for pike before? I'm wondering if it helps prevent bite-offs to move the materials to the back of the hook.

Maybe you've already thought of this, but you can also slide a foam popper or diver head onto the hook and instantly make it a topwater fly .

The only thing i might change on it is coating the thread wraps with epoxy if im chasing pike.

I agree with the idea of coating the thread wraps with epoxy. These type of flies do catch fish, although I don't really see any difference in the amount of biteoffs and leader damage as compared to standard flies.

from the top on the "body"-Peacock crsytal flash over olive icelandic sheep over orange big fly fiber over yellow icelandic sheep over yellow crystal flash. Head-loop dubbed red rabbit behind loop dubbed olive rabbit behind an olive saddle hackle.

Dble/Flyj- epoxy is a great idea ty.

Dble - I'll have to try tha pattern in your link -looks very sweet
