Rtf's Attention Getter

Tested this out yesterday and boy did it get a lot of attention. Caught the most fish on this fly. Caught smallmouth bass and bluegill on this fly. I will try this pattern on trout also when I get the chance.

Hook: Streamer
Thread: 3/0 Black
Tail: Mallard
Body: Deer Hair

Krystal silver flash is tied under, secured behind eyelet.

Rtf, That looks like a real nice fly. The ant does as well. The "newbie" in your signature will have to be dropped if you keep this up.

I agree - with a creative tying standard like this, the newbie just don't cut it anymore.

Nice job RT - keep it up.

My first impression ofg the attention getter was - wow, elk hair caddis on steroids

The flash in the wing would make this an interesting fly to try on Mr Trout one dark evening when they're hitting sedge

Thank you fellow fly fisherman. Believe it or not last night I caught a 4" Largemouth bass on this fly. I think the fly weighed more then him

As far as being a newbie, I have only been into the flyfishing scene for little over a whole month. Never touched a fly rod or fly until then. As soon as I can start catching trout on my own flies, then I think we can change the newbie sig .
