Elwha Dam Removal

Well the road closes at 5:30 PM today at the Park Boundry. This is to make road improvements for all the truck trips and very heavy equipment that will be moved up to Glines in September for the start, The open stretch of road right next to the "Goat Rapids" has to be removed and rebuilt to keep from falling into the River! Some disscussions going on about the use of Explosives rather than Diamond bladed saw for bringing down the Wall.
Obviously I do not like nort having access but.....
I will post updates from time to time.

The reports will be greatly appreciated by those who are thousands of miles away but left a pc of their heart with the Elwha. For those who love this river it was always less about the few miles below and much more about the hundred imprisoned above.

Thanks in advance.

Great news, we have been waiting for years to start the physical work. It is my hope that someday the great Smilodonichthys rastrosus will swim these waters.

But when the Smileys return, will they rise to the fly?

First choice might be 15/0 Skykomish Sunrise

Cheers,

Eric
