Alewives have arrived

Stopped by the herring run on the Nemasket river in middleboro this morning. It was a sight for sore eyes to see those little jewels sparkling in the water under the morning sun. Going down with the kids now the first day we see them is declared herring day and we go out for an ice cream. Well their hollering to go now see ya.

Great News Tim! Spring is surely about to "spring"... gotta love it!
I also love the first sunset that does not bring a chill each year, especially if I'm walking with the rod to the water!

RE:Alewives have arrived

They showed up around this time last year, although there seem to be more of them in there now than the same time last year. Wensday morning had over 500 below the ladder.
