Flats boots zipper jam

Ok
went to get my Cabelas flats boots out of the basement.
Both boots have "frozen" or jammed zippers. They have plastic teeth & a metal zipper.

I've tried soaking them in hot water... thinking I could dissolve a salt buildup (Nope)

I tried silicone spray (Nope)

Any other ideas?

After many such instances, I do not use zipper boots anymore.

To get them free, I used a pair of pliers to grip the tabs and pulled like hell. Eventually one of the tabs broke off. That was the last pair of zippered flats boots I've ever (or will ever) own.

Yeah, if they're frozen and soaking didn't free them up, you'll have to put more pressure on them. Some gentle work with pliers will hopefully do it. Are they stuck up or down?

Try taking a screwdriver and prying at each side of the zipper piece that actually does the zipping to free it up. Have you checked the inside of the boot to make sure a piece of neoprene or fabric isn't stuck in it? Kind of a stupid question but worth asking...

WD-40? Worked for me on a few SW packs. Not sure if they were plastic or metal zippers but that stough seems to dissolve anything.
