Steve,

Overall a nice job.

However, to my eye the G.P. tippet tail veiling is too long. I prefer mine to be not more than 1/2 the length of the tail, and usually prefer them to be 1/3 tail length on my own flies. Also, I prefer to make the tip of tinsel alone and then make the rear 1/4 to 1/2 body out of floss because to my eye these make for a more ballanced fly.

Great colors, just the right amount of hackle, and excellent winging. Keep up the good work.

Steve,

flytyer makes some good points.

With that said I think you should turn that one over to me for further testing and make another one for your self.

Charlie

Sure Charlie

But if you were smart, you would have told me to keep this one for water testing and
give you the second or third - that will be more refined.

So you can have it

Thanks, Flytyer
If I am working up something new, I tend to concentrate on color and composition, forgetting the basics.
The tippet is a little scrunched , the crest is too long.
Like I said the 2nd. and 3rd. will be better, unless it morphs into something different.
I get accused of never building the same thing twice.
Charlie knows my opinionated accuser.
(Ill shorten my pattern list when I grow up. )

Thanks for the input,
Steve

Grow up?

Lets hope that never happens!

Charlie.
