The length is approximately 7", tied on a size 3 TMC 811S. The body is composed of white and chartreuse yak hair, pearl flashabou mirage, pearl and olive angel hair, and red flashabou at the throat. The head...

This fly is very light, being tied in the hollow-flye style.

Any tips on keeping Yak hair straight and untangled in a fly? I've tied some great herring with it, but after a fish or two ( or an hour of casting) they seem to be a big ball of knotted yak hair.
