Was it windy today ?

Headed to Estabrook park 6 am folding sleepless night.
Dip my boots around 7:30. The wind was gusting toward me and couldn't get the distance. Fished a short run for about 30 mins and decided to untape the rod.
How was the wind this morning to your folks ?
For me, it was unfishable or gotta be extremely tighter loop to break the wind.
Where can I see people speying and exchange greeting nod ?
Root river today was too crowded and saw some fish taken out...

Thumbs up "The Milwaukee Boys"

There is a group of fanatic spey casters on the Milwaukee.
NOT necesarily at Estabrook, but keep a lookout: none of us bite

Milwaukee fanatic spey casters. i will be vigilant looking for them. I bet they will strike me hard.

I like the " silver dog " tied. Never heard of the fly but i guess it is of "black dog" family.
