Tie a inch or a inch and a half long piece of yarn on your line and go on your lawn. I like to setup targets it gives me something to judge how I'm doing. One of the best things when I started was I had a few family friends over and one of them wanted to show me his rod. We setup a target 50 feet away, the target was about a square foot, and we took turns casting to it. I learned so much that day by watching them and then trying to memic them.
Cool! Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give it a try;-)
