The Providence Journal reports that school bass to 24 inches are right on the tails of the herring. A good friend confirmed it by catching 6 bass on the rising tide Sunday in the Seekonk River. West wall and the South shore also have fish.

Thanks Art, I've already cleared it with the wife to head out Sunday for the falling afternoon tide at my favorite schoolie spot.

I guess it's time to say goodbye to any intentions of finishing the projects around the house or increasing production at work.

I have a question - in the many years you have been declaring such news to your fishing friends, would you say this year is an early year?

Also, when does your son start chasing mako with a fly?
