I managed to put a small tear into my brand new SA Mastery IV sink line at about the 60 ft mark. Anyone know how or whether to repair this?
Many thanks!
Worked for me...
While at a remote fishing camp only a float plane from the nearest mini-mart...'managed to encounter a prop...
After roughing up the suspect cut with some sand paper, I slid on some 30# braided mono (running line) and worked in a thin coat of AquaSeal...
...after an a few hours, a second coat to make it more slick and pretty.
In the morning it was a done deal and lasted out the week with no worries and ALOT of fish. ('still going strong)
But your local shop would be more than happy to sell you a new one!
It's happened to all of us. I have a method thats strangee but works well.
I just take a very thin piece of heat shrink tubing slide it over the cut shink it then coat it with clear finger nail polish/enamel so it becomes slick it works great for me.
