Terry, you asked about tippet and leader for the small stuff. The small midge patterns that work well on the tailwaters outwest are very easy to tie, many are nothing more than thread on a hook. For the rig i usually fish a 9' tapered leader down to 5x or 6x add 2 feet of 6x fluoro tie on the first fly and then 12 to 18 inches of 6x or 7x fluoro and then the second fly. Split shot goes 2 inches above the first fly and an indicator goes somewhere above the first fly depending on the flow and depth. For rising fish the first piece of tippit is regular material 6x or 7x going to a small dry then 18 inches of fluoro with an emerger at the point. Glad the board is back. Brad
