Any changes at the inlets & shoals? How did Harkers Island fare with the storm? I am looking forward to a trip down for Albies in November...beautiful area you live in!
I haven't been out to the shoals yet. I just got an email that 5 horses washed up on Harker's Island. There are no docks or piers left anywhere out there. Most houses had water in them. My girlfriend heard at her church today that some folks from her church went out there to help out. Found a 90 something year old man alone in his house surrounded by water. He told them about his cat that he loved very much. Apparently the cat went under the house when the storm started. Could not get out when the water started to come up. The old timer had to sit there and listen to his cat drown right under his feet. Since he was such a frail and feeble guy he couldn't do anything about it.
