I`ve been tying most of my flies with a bit of chartruse in them for a while now. It`s a killer color for the salt. So I was playing with different ways of attaching eyes afew days ago and was using the little UV light to cure some Knot Sense. The chartruse lites up like those cailume lite sticks you see on Halloween under the UV. So here`s the question, does UV light better penetrate the water column? Do fish see the UV spectrum better? I wonder if other shades have the same glow in the dark light gathering capabilities?

Next time you are at Bear's Den near closing time. Watch what happens when they shut off the lights for the night. You wouldn't believe how the room lites up everywhere. You'd be surprised what material have a glow.
I'm there...can't believe my luck so far in being off duty for these shows...hopefully that luck will hold out for the Spring Clave (subtle hint to Juro....any ideas as to when this year? Would love to be able to make it for more than the just the feast this time...).
