I made this composite from our image site. Soooo...structure? I see them flats on the west side, outherwise it looks like lots of straight beach. Are there troughs near the shore? Either way I can't wait. I like the area near the top where the island is the thinnest. You can bounce back and forth between sides and access the flats fairly easy.
The most outrageous flats are up one frame or two. If that legend is to scale it will be an easy hike to the start of west flats, the boat drops us at Powder Hole directly under the lower right corner of the legend.
Nice picture. The composite helps give a feel to the island.
Looks like a steeep drop on the east side. Wish I had been able to go along on the adventure...good luck out there.
Still look like a 3-3.5 mile walk? Say about an hour trip? With high tide around 11:00 (?), we have a good shot at making the trip, fishing the incoming, then fishing good looking sections on the way back.
I was looking at these images today at lunchtime, kinda getting a little depressed. Good luck and I hope the weather and fish gods are with you. I've got to attend the annual (not to be missed)gathering of the extended clan in Maine this weekend. Let's see - if I don't get carried away with the beverages Friday night its only 20 minutes to a Saturday AM sunrise in the Scarbourgh/Saco......
Have fun,
Fred A.
