Has anyone tried this line. I have a pre 1900 bamboo rod being repaired and refinished and the information on this line states it duplicates the appearance and performance of silk lines which are perfect for older bamboo and fiberglass rods.
I use a 5wt Sylk line on an old 9.5ft Bruce and Walker Merlin 2-4wt for short-range work on still-water and river. Firstly, the Sylk feels lighter than other 5's in use. This may be an illusion. Secondly, it produces more windknots for me than any line I have ever used. It shoots well and floats well, so maybe experience will teach me how to avoid the knots!
