Have you ever posted tying information and pics of your poppers on the site ?? If yes where is it ,,, if no, could you for us west coast guys who work the beaches in BC.
I will get together with Sean and see what I can do. In the meantime, if you're in a hurry, send me either your address or fax # via private email and I can get you my printed directions with my drawings.
There you will see it but I guess Leland has been tinkering with it so there may be some changes. However since I tied so many when he posted these instructions a couple years back I am still working on getting through the originals and they work just fine
I will work on moving this over to our site as well.
Have you ever experimented with tying as a tube fly eliminating the first hook or are you in balance with the first section of hook. Do you feel the trailer should be free to move indipendent of the body of the fly.
I have a few friends who have tied the poppers as tube flies. I have another who ties streamers, then slides small bottle corks with drilled holes down the line and jams them into the eye of the hook. There are always variations. You like tubes, try 'em.
Thanks for your response and I was not asking you to re-invent the wheel and I assume that the original tie with the trailer works good for you and thats good enough for me.
