My group has planned a trip to Turneffe Island, Belize the end of July. If anyone has experienced the island or the lodge please sound off. We are from South Padre Island and have been hooking up with many reds and specs on the fly, recently.

I have been going to Turneffe Flats for the past five years. You are going to love it.
Bonefish average from two to six pounds. You will also get shots at Permit. Standard Bonefish patterns apply on the atol for Bonefish. For Permit, who really knows. You will probably still be in Tarpon season although there are baby's around year round. The best part of Turneffe Island is that the people speak English and there is wade fishing. Not just from the bow of a boat. Bring some good wading boots and the best pair of sunglasses you can afford. It is all sight fishing.
Have al ball.
