Perfect tail material

John

Carl Richards has a book entitled "Prey" where he used latex to form fins, leggs, crab and shrimp bodies. I tried this for a number of things, and what I can say is that it is awsome. Buy the material at the craft store that is used as rug backing. It is a liquid latex in a water and amonia base. You can color it with acrylic paint. You have to build it up by painting it on in layers over a template. Any way you can get the curly tail effect, that is very durable. I used it to make a latex stone fly body which is very realistic.
